Area Coordinator - Voluntary Centre Services
As the area coordinator for the Volunteer Centre and voluntary support services for my area, I am particularly enthusiastic about the work of community organisations and grass roots activity. My role is to champion and develop good practice around volunteering and group support and support the local sector to be the best it can be. I feel I can bring a level of local knowledge to the panel as well as the voluntary sector context that can help to inform the impact that each volunteer and activity has had on their local area.
Senior Volunteer Development Officer - Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire
My main role is to carry out a range of development work and to co-ordinate the volunteer brokerage service in Northamptonshire. This involves the promotion of volunteering to the general public and organisations and providing support and training services to VCS organisations. I also work in partnership with the University of Northampton to provide tailored student and academic volunteering support along their Changemaker Team. I also contribute to the strategic planning and facilitate and deliver workshops and training at various events, conferences and meetings that VIN holds to engage and inform the sector.
